I would gladly change to a 5 star if they could accommodate businesses that need gas on at vacant units. They give a 4 hour time period and I have to hope I am available in that time. The technicians have always been kind and easy to work with. This rule is just extremely inconvenient.

DO NOT BE SERVICED BY THIS COMPANY. PLEASE LISTEN TO THE PRIOR COMMENTS AS I WAS TOO SILLY TO DO SO. I have had to call three times to have my previous residence disconnected from Columbia Gas. Each time I engaged with the company, the claim did not go through for termination, and therefore, I have been billed for the last three months for a residence in which I have not lived at. In order for me to get my money back, they stated that I must go to small claims court to fight the issue. This takes time and money that I do not have. Again, I encourage you not to be serviced by this company as they are very incompetent and their systems are NOT up to date (even the online portal).

This delight of a company has *one* one-time payment option online that does not charge a fee. Paying with a regular credit card, etc via Web or phone incurs a $2 convenience charge! To PAY! You have to PAY the company to GIVE THEM MONEY. I'm tired of these companies nickel and diming us. I've filed a complaint with the attorney general because this is not fair to consumers. I highly encourage all of you to file similar complaints for every single issue you have with Columbia. They've gotten away with poor customer service for far too long because we've all allowed them to with complacency. ***I have edited my review as I originally erroneously suggested that zero electronic payment options were available without charge, but as you can see, Columbia gas has kindly responded and corrected my error and thus I have edited my review to correct the erroneous information. I would like to deduct further stars for Columbia disregarding my statement about nickel and diming. I would love to see their justifications on how anyone but Columbia benefits

I closed my account with Columbia Gas over a year ago and was still incorrectly charged $200+ afterward. When I contacted them, they acknowledged the mistake and said they would issue a refund but the situation has dragged on for over a year with no resolution. At this point, it’s clear their billing and refund processes are deeply flawed. Customers should not have to chase down their own money for months due to internal policy limitations and poor execution. Extremely frustrating experience and disappointing lack of accountability.

If i could give them 0 stars I would. Customer service is awful. I seen a significant jump in usage after they "fixed" our broken meter. Im talking my bill was $500 for just one month. After pleading with them for a half hour, I had to have my partner call back and demand someone come out to check it. They said they would send someone out but no one ever showed. The issue is still unresolved and we're stuck paying insane prices. They're just an awful company all around.
