Always a great experience at this Shell station! The pumps work fast, the store is clean, and the staff is friendly. Easy in and out — definitely my go-to spot for gas and snacks!

Horrible experience. If I could give no stars, I would. I rented a uhaul from them last week online, got the keys, and turned on the engine and the check engine light was on. Didn't drive it an inch and told the store clerk right after. He literally attempted to tell me it was NORMAL for the check engine light in all the trucks to be on. I told him I was not comfortable driving it with the light on, and it was not normal at all because it could be unsafe plus I didn't want to be blamed if something happened while I was driving it with all my belongings inside. He then told me I couldn't have a different truck even though there were plenty outside and it was late afternoon. He called the manager and I was told I would get a full refund considering I didn't drive it an inch off the property and offered to take a different one and then was charged half the price days later. Insane!! Working with corporate now to get my money back. Do not go here!

So the gas prices are high but that's OK. I only went because it was the closest gas station to the Hilton on pavilion drive. But I went to buy a cable for my iPhone on a business trip to VA beach. The cable didn't work and I went back ten minutes later. The lady was rude and very difficult when I asked the cable to be swapped out and keep in mind this was my second trip. The first trip I got 45 dollars worth of gas. The second trip I came back to swap the cable and spend 20 bucks on other items. I was surprised at how rude and difficult she was from a professional stand point as well as just basic logic that she could miss out on a customer that is spending 65 bucks plus the cable because you want to be difficult about a cable that was probably only 2 dollars to buy. In the end I wasn't going to leave a review even though I wanted to leave a 3 star initially I changed my mind and let it go. Mostly because I assumed it was a small mom n pop shop. What made me come and and leave a one star is I had to go back inside for my receipt and while walking in I saw her repackaging my damaged cable in a new box -_- Now I can't say if she was doing so to resale the damaged cable or maybe she was just doing something harmless. Needless to say from now on I'll drive the extra mile when staying at the Hilton.

DO NOT GIVE THIS PLACE YOUR BUSINESS! 1. The gasoline here is consistently priced anywhere from 15 to 20 percent over the average price. 2. There is a 5 dollar minimum for purchases inside the establishment for those of you that use credit cards. 3. One of the workers frequently has the Open sign illuminated, sitting inside at the cashiers desk, with the door locked. If you approach the door to enter, you're within the line of sight of the worker and you're ignored until you leave. This happens early in the morning. But seriously, if the convenience store portion isn't open, DON'T TURN ON THE SIGN! This review is not only intended to inform consumers but to improve local businesses. Until some of these items are corrected this review will remain. Save yourself the aggravation and go somewhere that's fairly priced and more accommodating to their customers.

By far the most insane fuel prices the entire city of Virginia Beach. I would avoid this location and go anywhere else in the city absolute rip off.
